This 90-minute session explores the teaching of music in Mediterranean contexts, focusing on the tensions and synergies between local traditions and global influences. It features invited presentations addressing music education in war-affected regions, intercultural experiences in international programs and current practices in Spanish universities, including case studies from the Universitat de València. The final talk examines interdisciplinary approaches to music education through educational concerts and musicals. The session will conclude with a moderated discussion open to all attendees.
